Life history of Cat
The first cat recorded was Nedjem, meaning star. It lived in the reign of Egyptian Pharaoh Thutmose III in the year 1479-1425 BC. The heaviest cat Himmy whose owner was Thomas Vyse of Queenland, Australia, weighted 21.3 kg He died in 1986 at the age of ten. In 1970 Tarawood Antigone, a female Burmese owned by Valerie Gane of Kingham, Oxford shire, gave birth to 19 kittens. Fifteen survived. Towser, a female tortoiseshell owned by Glenturrent Distillery, Tayside, caught an estimated total of 28,899 mice during her time there. She died in 1987, aged 24.
